ALIBABA RELEASED TWO AI MODELS : QWEN -VL AND QWEN -VL- CHAT

Alibaba is a Chinese tech company. These two models are open source and it can generate images, captions for images and can perform many complex operations. These two models are small-size versions of the Tongyi Qiawen model which was also released by the same company.

WHAT IS A LARGE LANGUAGE MODEL?

A large language model is the one that is trained on large amounts of data collected from the internet. For example :OPEN AI’S – CHATGPT ,GOOGLE BARD ,etc,..

 WHY QWEN -VL AND QWEN – VL -CHAT?

It competes with META’S LLAMA 2 which is also an open source large language model. Both Alibaba’s and Meta’s AI models are freely available to everyone for research and commercial purposes. LLAMA 2 was released by the Facebook parent company META to  compete with OPEN AI’S CHATGPT and GOOGLE’S BARD.
